I enjoy wrestling because it is not like any other sport, well actually to me it's not a sport it's a life style. It requires hard work, dedication and it is always something different every time. I also enjoy wrestling because whenever I am trying to make weight all my friends are like you're crazy and they always say how they couldn't do it but for me the feeling that I put in the effort and made weight is worth it.
Wrestling has taught me things I never really had before like self-confidence, determination and control. It has also taught me to work for what I want.
My coach has always told me that anybody can win on any give day so work harder. This is a huge motivator for me and pushes me to go that extra mile.
I don't think I have ever gotten mad and thrown myself after a match. We learned right from the beginning in youth no matter if you win or lose you do it with a good attitude. I always know that it was my fault I lost and that I should learn from it.
My favorite wrestling move is definitely the headlock. All through youth and even now I have that move. I have been the underdog in many situations and won after throwing it.
Coach Mike Uveino and Assistant Coaches Steve Bradt and Jake Dale. They are respected, intelligent and hardworking. I feel I have a real connection to them for not giving up on me even when it seemed like all I did was mess things up. They are tough on their wrestlers but are always there for them no matter what.
I played baseball for 7 years (catcher position), soccer for 9 (goalie and full back), and ran track for one year (4x4, pole vault)
I love to play video games and hangout my friends and family. I also help out on my grandfather's farm.
My wrestling career goals are to win States and wrestle in college.
My personal goals for the next 1-5 years are to graduate and go on to college. I am not sure what I want to do yet I know I want to go.
In wrestling my biggest area to improve are on neutral attacks, neutral defense and a bit of top work. My personal area that needs improvement is better decision making skills. I am learning all the time.

A strong young man with strong values taught to him by his family, to which he holds dear. Definitely a young man that many of the young people today could take a lesson in love and respect from.
Even though I have to roll my eyes when you never shut up about wrestling (I’m not kidding, you mention anything that even sounds like it has to do with wrestling and he’s off on a tangent for thirty minutes), I admire his passion and love for the sport. Although it’s annoying, I think it’s amazing that Chase puts his entire soul into wrestling season. He literally goes off the grid for a few months, but you know exactly what he’s doing and you can be sure that once thw seasons over he’ll be back- and with some pretty kickass stories (that he’ll tell over and over…and over). You deserve it man.

this is so heartwarming to me. Chase is my hero even if he doesn’t win. The way he wrestles me not only on the mat but in the locker room is just amazing. He has the best headlock(; such a trooper
Being Chase"s grandfather I may be a bit biased but I am so proud of this kid I could just bust. He has come so far with not only his wrestling but his overall attitude and demeanor its hard to believe he is the same kid! He not only carries himself well on the mat but off the mat as well. He makes smart decisions when faced with issues and has made honor role at school. He shows respect to his grandmother and myself and is an important member of our farm business making himself available whenever he can. I am so proud of this young man. His win this year at the sectional tournament was heartwarming to me as I was the first family member he came to for a hug to celebrate his victory. I will always be there for you Chase win, lose or draw. Keep up the hard work and I am sure you will be a star and reach that golden ring!
This young man comes from a good, loyal and caring family and it is evident that he carries those values. He strives for his goals yet takes time to help and assist others. It’s not every day you meet a young man with a grown mans values and strengths. I vote for him 100%
