#TeamHERO athletes encompass everything it means to be a true HERO: they are athletes on the field, scholars in the classroom, and volunteers in the community.
Last month, I met yet another amazing swimmer, Ms. Isabella Nevaeh (heaven spelled backward!) Reza. Isabella is by far one of the most kind-hearted, fun-loving kids I've met. Turns out she is a rockstar athlete and student too (which we love!). Learn more about Isabella in my interview with her below.

What sports do you play and which is your favorite?
I swim and do both track and cross country! My favorite sport is swimming because I have a lot of fun and I've made a ton of friends.
What is the best advice you've received from a coach?
"Have fun and swim fast!"
What is your best sports memory and biggest goal?
I just got my first JO in June! That was my best sports moment thus far. My goal is definitely to get more JOs and Far Westerns.
Who is your favorite athlete and why?
Missy Franklin is my favorite athlete! She is an amazing swimmer and has a really good education. That is how I want to be when I get older.
What is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject is bible because I am constantly learning and I always have so many questions. It is fun to be learning so much.
If I could grant you three wishes right now, what would they be?
1. To get Far Westerns
2. To make it so that all of the homeless have shelter
3. To give all kids in orphanages homes and make sure they are taken care of
What age are you most excited to be? Why?
I am most excited to be 16 so that I can have my Sweet Sixteen party :)
What is your most prized possession?
My most prized possession is a necklace that my grandma gave me.
My favorite quote is something that my dad says: "believe and trust in your mind and heart and you can do anything".
Favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is just being outside with my grandma and grandpa. We used to pretend I was a drive-thru attendant and they would order from me and pretend to eat for hours.
Who is your HERO?
My dad is my hero. He loves and supports me endlessly. He gives great advice and is always encouraging me.
And lastly, what do you think it means to be a good person?
I think being a good person is making everybody feel happy and encouraged. It would make the world a happier place!
